1. Who We Are
This notice is provided by FlexOps, LLC ("FlexOps", "we", "us", or "our"), the business responsible for (the "controller" of) the personal information described below.
FlexOps, LLC 39116 Fremont Hub, PMB 1222 Fremont, CA 94538-1328 privacy@flexops.io
2. Scope of This Notice
Have a FlexOps account? This notice covers visitors to our marketing site and people who contact us. For personal information tied to your account and your use of Ship Manager or the Gateway API, see the Privacy Policy. For the personal data your business uploads about its customers, see the Data Processing Addendum.
This notice explains how we handle personal information we collect as a controller from visitors to flexops.io, people who submit our contact forms, and people who subscribe to our updates.
If you are a FlexOps customer, our handling of the personal data you submit through the FlexOps platform (Ship Manager, the Gateway API, and related services) is governed instead by our Data Processing Agreement, under which we act as your service provider / processor. This notice does not change that agreement.
3. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact and sales inquiries. When you use our contact, sales, support, legal, or security forms, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, company, phone number (if you include it), and the contents of your message.
- Newsletter and updates. When you subscribe to our updates, we collect your email address.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. When you visit our website, we (and our analytics provider) collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and on-site interactions, through cookies and similar technologies. See Cookies and Analytics.
- Form-security data. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device, software, and interaction information to distinguish humans from automated abuse. This information is processed by Google.
- Server and security logs. Our infrastructure records technical information such as IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps to operate the site securely and diagnose problems.
We do not collect payment card details on the website. Payments (for customers) are handled by Stripe; see the Data Processing Agreement.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your inquiry, sales request, or support message;
- Send you the updates or newsletter you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- Operate, measure, secure, and improve our website;
- Protect our forms and services from spam, fraud, and abuse; and
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
5. When We Share Information
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf for the purposes above, and only as needed to provide their service to us:
| Service provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Website analytics (Google Analytics), form abuse-protection (reCAPTCHA), and business email (Google Workspace), which is how contact-form messages reach our team | |
| Buttondown | Delivering our newsletter / product updates |
| Microsoft Azure | Website hosting and application performance monitoring (Application Insights) |
| Sentry | Application error monitoring |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a corporate transaction (such as a merger or acquisition).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use a limited set of cookies and similar technologies, described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential (analytics) cookies are set only if you accept them in our cookie banner.
We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. We do not enable Google's advertising features (such as Google Signals) on our property, and we have accepted Google's data-processing terms so that Google acts as our service provider for this purpose. You can opt out of Google Analytics by declining analytics cookies or by using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
7. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
For purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar U.S. state laws:
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising.
Because we do not sell or share personal information in these ways, no opt-out of sale or sharing is necessary — but you may still exercise the rights described below.
8. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this notice:
- Contact and sales inquiries — for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, and to keep a reasonable record of our communications, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe, after which we stop sending updates and remove or suppress your address.
- Analytics data — retained according to our Google Analytics data-retention settings.
- Security and server logs — retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know / access the personal information we hold about you;
- Delete your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (note: we do not sell or share it); and
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@flexops.io. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law permits. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
