Upgrade credits

Upgrade Credits

Get full credit for overage and buffer charges when you upgrade mid-cycle

What Are Upgrade Credits?

Upgrade credits ensure you're never penalized for growth. When you upgrade to a higher plan within the same billing month, all overage and label buffer charges you've already paid are automatically credited toward your new plan.

Any remaining credit after covering the upgrade cost rolls into the next billing cycle, so you get the full value of what you've already paid. Growth shouldn't cost you extra—upgrade credits make sure it doesn't.

How Upgrade Credits Work

1. Mid-Cycle Upgrade

You upgrade from Starter to Team plan on the 15th of the month, after already using overage labels.

2. Automatic Credit

All overage and buffer charges paid before the upgrade are credited toward your new plan's cost.

3. Credit Rollover

If the credit exceeds the upgrade cost, the remaining amount rolls into your next billing cycle.

Example Scenario

Scenario: You're on the Starter plan and upgrade to Team on day 20 of your billing cycle.

  • Days 1-20: Used 200 overage labels = $10 in charges
  • Upgrade on day 20: Team plan costs $X/month
  • Credit applied: $10 credited toward Team plan
  • Remaining credit: If credit exceeds upgrade cost, rolls to next month

You don't lose the $10 you already paid. It's automatically applied to your new plan, and if there's any leftover, it reduces your next month's bill. This ensures you get full value from every dollar spent.
